What is your opinion on this issue?

Ok so I heard the other day that they are attempting to pass a law that will force all crosses in Arlington National Cemetery to be removed. I don't understand the problem behind the cross. Yes, it's a religious symbol in many cases, but it's also a symbol of remembrance and memorial. Why does it deserve to be removed from the graves of those brave soldiers who fought for our freedom to have those crosses here in the US in the first place? I'm a Christian and this really bothers me. If it's a problem for someone, I say oh well. They don't have to look at the crosses. Opinions please, and don't be hateful or bash God. I just want to hear different opinions on this matter.
