He almost got me arrested. Should I break up with him?

My man is a nice guy. He treats me with respect and we have a lot of fun together, which is all I ask. However, there's a problem. He's involved with drugs. And yesterday, he almost got me arrested for drug possession. I picked him up at his house and he had me stop somewhere in the ghetto while he went to go buy drugs. I don't ask questions. I just sit in the car and wait for him to come back. He came back, and as we were pulling away, like 3 police cars showed up. We were both immediately handcuffed and the police were asking us a million questions. I was so p!ssed off to be handcuffed even though I don't think I did anything wrong, but they said I was aiding his acquisition of drugs and since the drugs were in my car, they could now charge me too. I think that's ridiculous ... but anyway, they did let me go without any write-up, but he was arrested and taken to the police station. He's still there actually. Should I break up with him? I know this sounds bad, but I'm so desperate for a boyfriend, I'm almost willing to put up with the drug use and almost getting arrested. I just want someone to love me, you know? I'm pathetic ... I know, I know. But yeah, is it a bad idea getting more involved with him? He told the police officers he's going to get clean, and I sorta believed him. What do you guys think?
