Hp mini 110-3030nr help!!!!!!!?

Alright, so it turns on fine and after i log in, a popup saying a hard drive wants to work on my comp. and that its unknow. i always decline. idk what happened, but now the whole screen is black and all the desktop items are gone. when i press the start button, there is nothing there, as if nothing exsted. meanwhile, another popup is trying to fix problems and it always says that its unseccsuful & i CANT close it. idk what to do and i feel soooo lost. i called the company and they don't no what to do either. another popup says that i should restart the system, which ive done many times. i have important files that i have been working on and i cant lose them. i cannot even go on the internet so i had to use another comp. if anyone can help, i would be soooooooooooo grateful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
